Project type: INSTALLATION
Date: July 2023
This piece is a commentary on the nation's struggle with obesity and unhealthy eating habits. The sculpture features a distorted human figure with an oversized head, symbolizing the disproportionate emphasis on food and consumption in American culture. A winding road of oversized, calorie-laden food items leads directly into the gaping mouth, highlighting the excessive and often detrimental food choices prevalent in the United States. Through this visual metaphor, it challenges viewers to confront the urgent need for healthier eating habits and a more balanced approach to nutrition in the country.
