As I grow up, my mom continues to be a source of inspiration,  as she supports me in all my endeavors. Creating this piece compelled me to explore new artistic mediums, combining watercolor and pencil in a unique way. Using a limited color palette (yellow) was to show the brightness of my childhood had on my younger self. My intention was to emphasize the central focus on my mom and me. The piece is a demonstration of the cherished symbols that hold significance with my mom and I relationship.The tangerines evoke my favorite memories like watching our favorite Chinese dramas.
