This piece portrays the enduring trauma experienced by human trafficking victims. At its center is an expanding plant, initially compressed and confined, symbolizing the traumatic event that marks the trama. As time progresses, the plant's tendrils gradually extend and spread throughout the installation, mirroring the relentless and insidious nature of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in the victims' lives. The artwork powerfully illustrates how trauma can infiltrate every aspect of one's existence, impossible to forget or escape. It serves as a reminder of the profound and lasting impact of trauma on survivors, urging us to empathize, support, and work toward healing and justice for these resilient individuals.
