Sacrifice highlights how even perpetrators who often remain unidentifiable may have families they support while behind closed doors they participate in despicable behavior. The plates symbolize the role as provider, however, a portion of financial contribution becomes tainted when it enters into the realm of exploitation. The cascade of plates ends up in pieces as dark secrets are revealed and families break apart. Splattered on the plates is the illicit act and the tragic consequences it inflicts on its victims and their families.
