Fare highlights the illegal practice of organ harvesting and its victims. The success of this black market depends on the exorbitant prices these organs can demand. Individuals must consider the decision to sell an organ for survival or in worse case scenarios, victims are specifically targeted. Much like trading commodities under the capitalist umbrella, Fare questions the value placed on profit over an individual’s dignity and to some extremes, a person’s life.
